Alan Jones - Pembrokeshire Thatch

Originally a carpenter Alan started thatching 27 years ago and has thatched throughout the UK and Europe.  He is advocating producing home grown materials and building and thatching with straw as to be able to litarally grow your own home from a four acre field.

Ty Mawr Lime 

The Ty-Mawr exhibition house will be on display once again with practical plastering and pointing demonstrations using both traditional lime plasters and mortars as well as their highly innovative, environmentally friendly alternatives - glaster – a plaster/mortar made with recycled glass instead of sand and the newly launched hemp lime plaster. Their welsh wool insulation, wood wool boards and new plant-based paint ranges will also be on display as well as cross sections of their limecrete floor, warm roof and wall insulation systems.
